Latest evolution of our Asterion XC aluminum rim: Lower and wider profile with increased asymmetry compared to the previous generation. Improves both comfort, grip and nervousness. Hubs:
The next evolution of Hope Tech hubs. New design of springs and pawls, reduced friction and increased engagement points (108 instead of 44 for the PRO4). Available in 6-hole or Centerlock rotors and all types of freewheel bodies. Choice of colors.
Spokes:
Cold-forged stainless steel flat spokes: The strongest and most flexible spoke on the market at this weight level. Gives wheels that are light, responsive and extremely durable. Origin: France
Spoke heads:
Sapim Polyax double square nuts in anodized 7075 T6 aluminum with anti-friction treatment. The profile of Polyax spoke nipples acts as a ball joint which allows the nipple to better align in the direction of each spoke to reduce stress at the rim-spoke connection. The additional "double-square" indentation allows a higher tightening torque without compromising the strength of the nut while it allows part of the thread to work in compression for greater resistance to breakage. Assembly with specific brake lubricant to ensure excellent hold of the screwing without the nut seizing over time. All this contributes - in addition to the quality of assembly - to the excellent hold over time of our wheels.
